Telstar
Photo Studio opened its doors to business as a photographic
studio way back in 1962. Carmel Austin, its founder, soon
established himself as one of the leading photographers of the
time. He was well prepared for this after undergoing a tough
apprenticeship with Richard Ellis Photographic Studio, Malta's
topmost photographic studio in those days.
He was later joined by his
wife Pauline and as a team expanded the business. By 1978 they
started importing Henzo Albums. Nowadays, Telstar Photo Studio
prides itself to be one of the leading importers of photographic
albums with a motto for offering variety, quality and value for
money products.
In recent years, the
younger son Andrew has also started to take an active part in
the daily running of the business. He has gone to expand the
photographic services provided, introducing digital photography
as one of the mainstays of the studio. Telstar Photo Studio
